Let’s go fly a kite!

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

It’s been more than a little windy today, but we’re not going to let a bit of weather stop us having fun.

Playgroup and Local Bookshop

On the right hand side of the page there is a small, but growing, collection of links I believe may be useful to visitors to this page.

The first one to be added is Inkspot and Silverleaf, a gem in the centre of Bo’ness which was recently named one of The Independent’s ’50 Best Bookshops’. Popping in to browse the excellent range of books is always a pleasure, and there is a lovely collection of bookmarks, stationery and other assorted goodies on offer as well. I highly recommend a visit – I’ll be popping in soon having just found the World Book Day vouchers I thought I’d lost last week!

Also featured is Bo’ness Playaway Playgroup, located in the grounds of Bo’ness Public School.  The playgroup offers a variety of groups including a new 2’s group starting on the 21st of April in addition to the daily morning sessions for children aged 2 1/2 years and up.

There is a wide range of equipment and activities on offer and the children are supported in their learning by friendly, caring staff.
