Happy Thanksgiving!

Monday, November 29th, 2010

We made our (now annual) handprint turkeys last week to celebrate Thanksgiving

And like the rest of Scotland we are currently enjoying a surplus of the cold white stuff. The schools were closed today and we’ve already been warned they are closed tomorrow.

It’s so pretty but so difficult to walk in and I’m not even going to attempt pushing a buggy in it!!

Happy Hallowe’en!

Monday, November 1st, 2010

I hope you had a good Hallowe’en and had fun guising last night!

Here are a selection of the crafts we have been making recently.

This is a banner we made for the entrance hall:

A pumpkin and witch my son made at school that he asked me to share with you all

Some characters we made using kits, and a bat made using a toilet roll and handprints.

And finally, a pumpkin which is really easy for toddlers to make – just a circle of orange paper and some black shapes. Then let the wee onesĀ  stick the shapes on in an approximate face arrangement. So simple but so effective, and very satisfying for the little ones to do.
