Revolutionary Bikes

Monday, August 16th, 2010

I recently found myself in a bit of a muddle when the foam came off the handles of my pushchair. No spares were available and I was at a loss as to what to do. The handles were very uncomfortable and dangerously slippery in the rain. Google didn’t provide much in the way of answers until I stumbled across foam grips for bicycle handlebars.

I thought these might be the answer and popped into my local bike repair shop in Bo’ness – Revolutionary Bikes. John advised me that handlebar grips wouldn’t provide the grip I was looking for and may slip off my handles. However he had just the thing! Handlebar tape, normally used on racing bikes! For a very reasonable fee John even applied the tape for me. I now have lovely, grippy, handles on my buggy which are so comfortable and the perfect solution.

Mine are in black to match the colour scheme of my buggy, but John can order it in any colour you can imagine!

Creepy Crawlie Creatures

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Oh we had so much fun on Thursday! We met lots of exciting creatures including an OAP cockroach called Jim. I never thought it was possible to be a cute cockroach but this guy was lovely. The guy from ZooLab who lead the children through a wonderful rainforest adventure was brilliant, he managed to keep 35 children from 6 months to 13 years interested, under control and reasonably quiet for an hour.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.
